My first visit to Venice was amazing - the city lived up to its reputations with scenes to shoot at almost every turn of foot or propeller. I did leave with a favourite location / viewpoint from this trip - in part because it is simply classic Venice and also because it was so close to where I was staying so saw it a lot at different times of day - the view East from Academia Bridge. The shot above is as the last of the light touched Santa Maria and the buildings along the Grand Canal with a hint of sunset colour in the sky.
